Strengths and trade-offs

Pros

  • Talk minutes are unlimited, so long calls cost nothing extra
  • Repeat callers count once, which suits businesses with regulars
  • Overage rate published on every plan
  • Number included, and you choose the area code

Cons

  • United States only, by the vendor's own FAQ
  • Priced per agent, so a second agent doubles the base fee
  • Our estimate counts calls rather than unique callers, so repeat-caller businesses are quoted high
  • Logic flows and directory contacts are tightly capped on the entry plan

About Goodcall

Goodcall is the only vendor in this comparison that does not meter talk time. Its own FAQ is blunt about it: "We DO NOT charge any fees for number of calls, call minutes, or tokens." What it counts instead is unique customers a month, meaning callers with distinct phone numbers, and by its own definition a client who rings ten or more times in a month still counts as one.

It is priced per agent rather than per account, and each plan separately caps how many team members can use it. It is available in the United States only, which the vendor states plainly rather than leaving to inference.
