We track 27 business credit cards in the United States: 25 with a published price and 2 quoting on request. Every price below comes from the vendor's own pricing page as our records stood on 2 Oct 2026, and this page will not be updated as those prices change.
How many business credit cards publish a price?
A provider counts as publishing a price when its pricing page gives enough to estimate a monthly bill without contacting sales. One that shows a headline or starting rate and quotes for the rest is counted as quoting on request. On that test, 93% of this market can be priced without asking.

What do business credit cards cost in the United States?
Estimated monthly bill at each business size in the table, from the same cost engine as our live comparison table. Providers that quote on request are left out; an unknown price is never counted as zero.
| Business size | Providers costed | Median | Lowest to highest |
|---|---|---|---|
| Sole cardholder | 25 | $0 | $0 to $120 |
| Small team | 25 | $27 | $0 to $130 |
| Larger team | 25 | $270 | $0 to $300 |
For the largest business size in the table (larger team), the cheapest option with a published price is free at that size and the dearest costs $300 a month.
Which business credit cards do AI assistants recommend?
We put a fixed set of buyer questions to the AI assistants themselves and record every brand each answer names and every source it cites. In September 2026, 30 questions about business credit cards in the United States were put to three of the leading AI assistants, giving 90 answers.
| Provider | Answers naming it | Share |
|---|---|---|
| Ramp | 42 of 90 | 47% |
| Brex | 37 of 90 | 41% |
| Chase | 25 of 90 | 28% |
| BILL | 24 of 90 | 27% |
| American Express Blue Business Cash | 16 of 90 | 18% |
The assistants named 29 brands in total across those answers; the table shows those named most often. The full ranking, the split by assistant and the month-to-month movement are not published here.
Most cited sources in this market
| Domain | Citations |
|---|---|
| ramp.com | 29 |
| nerdwallet.com | 18 |
| bill.com | 16 |
| brex.com | 15 |
| capitalone.com | 15 |
| airwallex.com | 12 |
Across those answers the assistants cited 331 sources and did not cite smbcompare.com once. We publish that standing every quarter, whatever it is.
This is a different measurement from what any assistant showed real buyers. It records the answers to our own fixed questions, put through the assistants' own APIs on one date, so it samples the market rather than observing all of it. The API answers approximate what the consumer apps show without matching them exactly, and an assistant can give a different answer to the same question from one month to the next.
How we compiled this report
Prices come from vendors' own pricing pages only, never from review sites or directories, and no commercial relationship with a vendor changes a figure here. Definitions, limitations and corrections: how we compile these reports.
Conclusion
For a business that spends abroad, the foreign transaction fee rather than the annual fee is what sets the credit card bill. Of the 27 cards we track from 18 issuers, 26 publish an annual fee, from nothing to $795 with a median of nothing, and 21 publish a foreign transaction fee, from 0% to 3% with a median of 2.7%. At $10,000 a month of foreign spend across 25 cardholders the median modeled bill is $270, which is 2.7% of $10,000.
The figures count fees only: the annual fee spread across twelve months, per-user software charges where a card has them, and foreign spend at the published rate. Interest on a carried balance is never costed, and APR is shown as published. A sole cardholder with no foreign spend pays $0 to $120 a month, median $0; five cardholders spending $1,000 a month abroad pay $0 to $130, median $27; and 25 cardholders spending $10,000 pay $0 to $300, median $270. A card with no annual fee and no foreign transaction fee costs nothing at every size.
The AI panel on this page put 30 questions to three assistants in September 2026 and recorded 90 answers, which named 29 brands and cited 331 sources. None of the 331 was smbcompare.com. Two of the 27 cards quote on request; the 25 that publish their fees are 93% of the market, against 75% in US payroll and inventory management and 58% in HR software.
